I've read it twice now, but haven't had the time to enjoy Dark Volume even once!Mike Perschonhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/09335943113292616702noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1069343736818411279.post-38521151665125090322010-10-07T10:53:02.800-06:002010-10-07T10:53:02.800-06:00My advice to Skylion: Put it on top of the pile. For some reason, it improves upon a second reading. I think my synapses needed another go-round to connect all the dots. I am currently losing sleep while devouring "The Dark Volume." When I can, I am also working on a fan ambient music project devoted to this series.darqmommyhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/16206572355542170509noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1069343736818411279.post-55069540997444942282010-09-28T20:01:48.356-06:002010-09-28T20:01:48.356-06:00Skylion, I don't think the Jakelian novels are...Skylion, I don't think the Jakelian novels are of the same strip as Dahlquist's, at least insofar as I've read. Dahlquist's work is far more erotically charged, while Hunt's world is further into the realm of pure fantasy - a secondary world as opposed to an alternate earth. I think there's been a decent amount of attention for Hunt in steampunk circles. I just haven't gotten around to writing my reflections on the first book myself.Mike Perschonhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/09335943113292616702noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1069343736818411279.post-29623847014644075292010-09-28T18:02:03.396-06:002010-09-28T18:02:03.396-06:00So. Why not the same amount of mainstream attention to the works of Stephen Hunt; his Jakelian novels are of the same strip as Dahlquist's adventures. I have yet to read the Glass Eaters, but they are on the ever growing pile.skylionhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/09752263788565752383noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1069343736818411279.post-43359744614217428472010-03-22T04:05:11.908-06:002010-03-22T04:05:11.908-06:00This comment has been removed by a blog administrator.討厭https://www.blogger.com/profile/14673066488765546091noreply@blogger.com
